Still Rico

As the cowboy action shooting season is almost upon us again, Rico will soon be back dinging targets and channeling Lee Marvin. The rest of the time he has a less noisy life as the author of Rico's Rants, a blog on whatever strikes his fancy.

The Brazos Banditos have a website for their Western gunfighters. Besides being well-constructed (with a great soundtrack), they have the best cowboy line as the opening:
Guns don't kill people.
People with mustaches kill people.
Gotta love it.

When I joined the Single Action Shooting Society a decade ago or more, I had to choose an alias.
Who better than the splendid character portrayed by the inestimal Lee Marvin in the movie The Professionals?
I'd always loved the movie, and especially his role.
Thus I became, luckily (there was another 'Henry Fardan' in SASS, but by including his nickname I got through), Rico.
